SPVB

Sygeplejerskernes Vikarbureau (SPVB) is a Danish temp agency that places nurses and healthcare staff in hospitals and care facilities.

The company ran on a legacy Microsoft Dynamics C5 system that couldn't keep up — slow, rigid, and expensive to maintain. I rebuilt the entire platform from scratch.

The new system handles shift scheduling, staff management, invoicing, and client administration. Built with Go microservices communicating over gRPC, deployed on Kubernetes. The architecture replaced a monolithic desktop application with a modern, scalable backend that the business can actually grow on.

This was a real-world migration — not a greenfield project with the luxury of starting clean. The challenge was understanding decades of business logic embedded in C5 and translating it into a system that works better without breaking what the staff relied on every day.
